The UKE-4SW stands for the ukulele low G smooth wound warm. For those players who like a metal low G but do not like the squeak of the round wound low G, we offer the smooth wound low G.
The smooth phosphor-bronze wound low G is a compression wound string rather than a flat wound string. With a compression wound string, the round wound wire wrap is compressed during production creating a smooth surface on the string.
